Cannon is a Partner at EP Wealth Advisors, overseeing the Atlanta office and its innovative platform to serve clients throughout the Southeast.

Alongside his work at EP, Cannon has developed the 3R’s® Framework—Reinvest, Reward, Repurpose. This personal philosophy reflects his belief that wealth should be used to both sustain and enrich life while leaving a meaningful legacy. He integrates the 3R’s into his work with clients to deliver deeper impact and clarity in financial decision-making.

A former business owner himself, Cannon works closely with entrepreneurs as they grow their companies, create personal wealth, and build the legacy they choose. Leveraging his background in wealth management, strategy, and capital markets, he helps owners balance capital allocation between building business value and personal wealth. The 3R’s naturally align with EP’s comprehensive planning, estate, tax, and value-added resources to deliver real-time, values-based guidance for complex business needs.

To share insights about building sustainable businesses and achieving financial independence, Cannon hosts the podcast Business Owner Tales from the Trenches, featuring business owners and experts who offer practical, hard-won lessons from their journeys.

Prior to joining the EP Wealth Advisors family, Cannon was principal shareholder and CEO of CornerCap Wealth Advisors, managing $1.2 billion with a team of 22 colleagues, where for over a decade he refined the firm’s vision, led new market growth, and optimized the team’s next-generation leadership, in conjunction with the founder. He led the negotiation and integration of his firm into the EP partnership during 2024.

Cannon is a sought-after speaker who regularly presents to business owners and industry experts at conferences, forums, and professional events.
